The hardest part of a new diet

The hardest part of a new diet

The pre-dieting phase is one of the hardest parts of any weight loss journey. It’s that in-between stage where you keep thinking about starting a diet but can’t quite commit. You may ask yourself endless questions—Which diet should I do? Do I have the time or money? Should I wait until after the holidays, a vacation, or a big event? How long will it take to see results? This back-and-forth can last for days, weeks, months, or even years.

Living in this “diet limbo” can actually be stressful. You’re constantly thinking about it but not taking action, which can create frustration and guilt. The truth is, the hardest part is simply deciding to start. Once you commit to a date and take that first step, you’ll feel a sense of relief and control. We are creatures of habit and knowing we are changing your diet can make us want to avoid starting.  Once you realize the change is for the better and the diet is only temporary till you reach your goal, it gives you the excitement to start and not a negative process.

At North Star Diet, we understand that getting started is often the biggest hurdle. That’s why for over 25 years we’ve been helping people move from indecision to success with our easy, portion-controlled, high-protein snacks, shakes, and supportive network. When you commit, we’re here to help you stay on track and reach your goals—because starting is the first step toward lasting change.
